Alika falls asleep in her mother’s arms feeling happy for once. Things have been difficult for them, but her mother promises her a big surprise the next day. In her dreams, she imagines all the wondrous possibilities such as seeing old friends, hearing her grandmother’s voice, or having enough water to drink. Could the surprise be the start of a new and easier life?

作者／繪者Paco Ortega清透的畫風，悠悠的敘述口吻，道出小女孩Alika的心中念想，看似平靜卻隱約透露出哀傷氛圍，尤其Alika純真無知地道出自己的故事 – 失去父親、玩伴、甚至生了病，卻仍對未來抱有期待，這樣的對比更令人感到悲戚與不捨。
Paco Ortega was born in Seville, Spain, but has lived practically all his life in Morón de la Frontera. He graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Seville. Since 2004, he has been working as a graphic designer. His first illustrated book, El niño y el cofre, was published in 2016 by the publisher En Huida. He has published almost a dozen illustrated book with various publishers as an author and illustrator, or only as an illustrator. In his works the sensitivity he tackles stands out.
