內容簡介
此系列由國立成功大學專業英文團隊研發而成，是全台灣第一套以ESP（English For Specific Purposes，專業英文）概念設計，針對不同學科領域需求所設計而成的全方位英語教材。
This series recognizes the varied academicand professional English learning needs of college students as they prepare fordifferent careers. By adopting the English for Specific Purposes (ESP)approach—one of the most effective EFL teaching methods used today—the series equipsstudents with academic skills for English-speaking classrooms, while alsoproviding relevant language training to ensure professional success.
全書分四單元，共十六課。分別探討基因工程、流感、人腦奧秘與生物學大發現等主題。以閱讀為起點，延伸重點歸納與理解的練習。單字分列一般語文單字與專業英語單字，搭配英語語料庫的運用練習與口說或寫作的活動。讓學習者熟悉科技產業的發展和相關專業用語，並透過各樣的練習增強英語能力。
本書特色
1. 選材具公信力：文章內容源自於美國知名的科學雜誌，可信度高，篇幅足夠可加強讀者英語閱讀功力。
2. 實用專業英語單字：列舉學科中常用英語單字，及其用法。
